A trust is a legal entity, not something that can own/possess a property, a trustee is acting on behalf of the trust. A trustee must be listed as an owner - we have had several properties lately not held correctly, per Slink we need these corrective deeds done in order to proceed adding a trustee as owner.
Example language of how it SHOULD read: [Individual], a single man Grantor to [individual trustee], Trustee of the [Trust name], the Grantee
Remember here, we should always just be advising borrowers that it's not acceptable and they should talk to an attorney about getting it corrected, we are not giving them legal advice or telling them exactly what needs to be done, this can cause us issues in the future.
